Spectators

Now, this is a turnaround. Kangaroos watching a cyclist pass them by. I thought it quite funny as I looked down on them from the top of the dam wall at Lysterfield Lake Park. The kangaroos are Eastern Greys and there are many at the park. Best time to see them out in the open is early morning or towards sunset.

I love wandering around Lysterfield Lake Park early in the day.  It’s fresh, there is still dampness in the air and on the ground, everything is looking so green at the moment and the animals haven’t disappeared into the bush as yet.

Revisting Lysterfield Lake Park

Yesterday I went back to Lysterfield Lake Park for a wander around as my husband went on his regular weekly mountain bike ride.  I thought at first I would have to settle for landscape shots (not that that’s a bad thing) but then I chanced upon two small families of kangaroos.  So, for the next few days, I’ll share those images with you – both the scenery and the roos. Enjoy!

There were a lot of roos grazing on this particular day in the park.  Here’s a couple more.
