Our daughters and their husbands, and our beautiful grandson, will be sharing the evening meal with us today.

This photo was taken earlier this year of a King Parrot family on our driveway gate. Aren’t they gorgeous?

This pair were watching to see if I was putting out any more feed recently in our garden. These parrots don’t seem to be afraid, that is they’re used to having humans in close proximity. I know they hang around my neighbour’s deck out the back as he has a pet Corella living there and it’s on the second story so on tree top level. But they often visit our property too.

The one with the brilliant red is the male.

Beautiful roses

That time of year and the roses are budding – and they look beautiful in the spring rains too. The scents are beautiful. I love exploring my garden every day.

Shadow in the daisies

This is our cat Shadow sitting in the long grass and miniature daisies. He’d recently had an operation and was enjoying being outside. The grass was long because the ground was too wet to run the ride-on mower on without getting bogged. I don’t think our cats mind the long grass at all.

On the old shed at the front of our property the words in this title of this post are carved in wood. We’ve learnt bits and pieces of the history of our home from our elderly neighbour, who has been there for over 40 years and probably seen about 4 or 5 owners of our home in that time. Interesting stories too, the further back they go.

Anyway, for some reason our house was named Kozee Korner so I found it also a suitable title for the image below, taken in our loungeroom one evening.

Christmas Cards

As I mentioned recently, I’ve been designing Christmas Cards with local nature images on them for sale at markets and a local tearoom. Below as the draft samples I made up before sending some of them to the printer. Below that are the finals I’ve had printed – they look much better in gloss and brightly printed.

The cards are available for sale. $25.00 for a pack of 10 (2 of each design) or $3.00 per card. They come with envelopes. There will be a charge of $2.00 for postage inside Australia and $6.00 outside of Australia. Please email me if you’d like to place an order.

mmm, 7 things about myself. Here goes.

I’m an obsessive photographer who mainly takes nature and landscape photos. I was reading last night in a devotional that Jesus was obsessed and passionate about his mission in life. I feel obsessed and passionate about photography. I wonder if that is one of my missions in life? I certainly hope my photography blesses you, my readers.
I’m also a writer and have published books, write several blogs and have had articles published in magazines worldwide. I’ve been writing since I was a child, just like Cate who awarded me
I am the wife of Graham and mother to 4 beautiful adult daughters.
I am a grandmother to the gorgeous Oliver, almost 2 years old.
I am a business owner and have been running “A Clayton’s Secretary” for 17.5 years.
I am a chocholic (just like Cate) and rarely go a day without eating any.
I have been a Christian for most of my life and thank God for the wonderful family and husband He’s given me.

Think On It Devotions. Elizabeth Marks writes a series of devotions at the InnerFulfilment blog.
Simply Bloom. Joy McMillan also writes for InnerFulfilment and shares recipes and her thoughts at her blog.
Everyday Sisters. A variety of things, including recipes. Written by Karen, Nanci, Ellen and Susan.
Money Saving Mom. I found this via a link on a blog above. Written by Crystal Paine it seems this blog has quite a following and is well established. Has some good tips there.
Renlok provides a lot of imagery at their travel blog.
Sense of Sight. Great looking photoblog which I’ve just discovered.
Equus. Written by my daughter Christine, she shares on the working life in the horse industry and reviews many books written about horses. Also includes links to sites she’s found about horses.
Morning Cuppa. Just came across this one. A new follower at Twitter who has some similar interests to me.
Dave Wilson Photography. I always enjoy looking at what other photographers do and what might catch their photographer’s eye.
Explorer Views. Another nice photoblog. I figured since you follow mine you might like to see others.
Problogger. If you blog you’ll be familiar with Darren Rowse’s blog which gives you lots of hints and tips about blogging. Darren lives in Victoria, Australia as I do and is one of the most successful bloggers I know of.
